Happy 2020! I’m not too sure where this year has gone to. If anybody has the answer please let me know. It has been an exciting year, balancing foody events with an awful lot of cooking.
A few highlights to share:
Firstly, the launch of our new products, the Boxing Day Chutney sold out in November!
Being awarded a Silver Medal at the National Marmalade Awards at Dalemain for our Lemon and Lime Marmalade. https://www.dalemain.com/marmalade-awards/
Creating a new marmalade for Liberty of London, Christmas range. “Seville Orange, Clementine and Whisky”. https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/search?q=Food
Great Taste Awards gave us a stonking two stars to our baby, the mango chutney. Proud Mother. https://greattasteawards.co.uk/
Smashing editorial in the BBC Good Food Magazine in November for our Christmas Chutney. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/
Our first year at Carfest South, we saw Chris Evans on our first morning, but missed seeing Texas again. http://www.carfest.org/carfest-north-gallery-2019
Lots of new outlets and greater sales online.
The fab and fun Kirsty joined the team and I have a new neighbour at The Hop Pocket, CL Country, run by Emily who keeps me on the straight and narrow. https://cavallolusso.com/
Also, Lizzie joined us for doing our tasting sessions in London. Nicola is definitely not cooking the books and Lucy continues to produce inspirational graphics and designs. Helen multi tasks with events and cooking, when not on the road with Hel’s kitchen. Quite the “M” team.
I could carry on, but I am in danger of boring you so I will turn my attention to the year ahead.
Of course, we will be tantalising your taste buds with some new products. We are experimenting at the moment, but we will definitely be offering our Philpotts Chilli Jam, tested and approved of last year.
We also have one Top Secret plan which I am so excited about. Watch the blog for announcements but I am really looking forward to it.
I really hope that you all have had a brilliant 2019. Once again, thank you for your support. It really does mean the world to small businesses. I’ve enjoyed feeding you and hope that you enjoyed being fed. Happy 2020 and may we all have exciting things to look forward to.
